Kids Korner
Gluten free summer 2009 camps for celiac kids!

Celiac Disease Foundation is pleased to announce that once again this summer, with funds raised by participants of Team Gluten-Free™, we will send a limited number of celiac kids to summer camp!
A child on a gluten-free diet may have difficulty at a mainstream camp, but shouldn’t miss out on the experience. There are several Celiac Camps across the country, offering celiac children everything from boating, canoeing, swimming, arts and crafts, low and high ropes challenge courses, adventure programming, field events, and team work. Most importantly, all meals are GLUTEN-FREE, including campfire treats and barbecues.
For information regarding age restrictions, camp activities and other general information,
please visit the camp’s website.
Campers interested in the camps should submit a one-page essay describing why and how they feel they will benefit by going to camp without worrying about their food.
Winners will be chosen by the CDF Board of Directors. Scholarships cover the camp fee for the session, but do not include travel expenses.
Essays can be submitted via email: cdf@celiac.org or
by U.S. mail to:
Celiac Disease Foundation
13251 Ventura Blvd, Suite 1
Studio City, CA 91604.
Or via Fax: 818-990-2379
All essays become the property of Celiac Disease Foundation. All entries must be
postmarked or received via email by March 31, 2009
